History
Infinis was established as an independent company in May 2006 prior to Terra Firma, the private equity group, selling the Waste Recycling Group Limited (WRG), its former parent company, in July 2006. Since then, our business has grown both organically and by strategic acquisitions.
2011
- Infinis group acquired Dalswinton, Minsca and Slieve Divena wind farms from SSE
- Infinis group acquired Rheidol wind farm from E.ON UK plc
2010
- Infinis group acquired Ardrossan wind farm from Scottish and Southern Energy plc (SSE)
2009
- Infinis group purchased Novera Energy Limited (formally Novera Energy plc)
- Infinis plc issued £275 million Senior Notes due 2014
2008
- Infinis published its first Corporate Responsibility Report
2007
- Infinis plc acquired rights to biomass and wind power development projects from Scottish Resources Group
- Infinis plc acquired the Re-Gen biogas power generation business of Summerleaze
- Infinis plc certified as compliant with ISO14001, the international standard for environmental management
2006
- Infinis plc established as separate company when demerged from WRG
