Eric Machiels
Chairman/Chief Executive
Eric became permanent Chairman and Chief Executive of Infinis Energy Holdings Limited and its operating subsidiaries on 5 October 2010. Eric has been involved with Infinis since January 2008 when he was seconded into the business from Terra Firma Capital Partners Limited (“Terra Firma”), having previously joined Terra Firma as Business Director in September 2007.
He initially held the role of Infinis’ Development Director before becoming Acting Chief Executive in August 2009 and then Acting Chairman in June 2010.
Prior to joining Terra Firma, Eric held executive positions within two portfolio companies of Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, a US private equity firm, the most recent position being MD of Sirva Inc.'s Continental European activities from 2004 to 2007. He worked as an Investment Director at UBS Capital from 1999 to 2002.
Eric obtained an MBA from the Harvard Business School in 1996. He previously graduated from the University of Leuven Law Faculty (Belgium) in 1989.
