Biogas
Infinis’ focus is on electricity generation from landfill gas (LFG) and LFG management. LFG is one of the naturally occurring products of decomposing organic matter in landfill sites. LFG comprises approximately 60% methane which is one of a number of gases contributing to global warming. Methane is a highly potent greenhouse gas with a contribution to global warming which is over 20 times greater than that of carbon dioxide.
By extracting LFG from landfill sites, Infinis fulfils an important role in helping waste management companies meet their environmental compliance obligations. As Infinis uses the collected LFG to generate power, it not only abates the global warming impact of the methane emissions but also provides an efficient and secure source of power generation to local communities.
