Infinis Communications Officer Vacancy

Job title: Communications Officer
Location: Northampton
Salary: Dependent on experience – we’re open to shaping this role around the right person

At Infinis, we’re proud to be one of the few companies in the UK already delivering a positive impact on climate change. But that’s not enough – we’re working harder to ensure that our efforts to decarbonise the UK, via our four business divisions, see us become leaders in the sustainable energy sector. Join us and be at the forefront of renewable and green energy.

Our values of excellence, innovation, responsibility, fulfilment, commitment and openness are the foundation for how we work. Every role contributes to the important mission behind our sector, so now we’re looking for a like-minded and equally passionate Communications Officer to join us.

Shaping and delivering our internal and external communications, you’ll help drive our success by aligning our people to (and raising awareness of) our goals, purpose and objectives. You’ll communicate what we do and why we’re doing it to appropriate external audiences and markets to further our aims. This involves:

  • Taking responsibility for keeping our website up-to-date via the CMS as instructed by the Senior Management Team
  • Liaising with various third parties like brand agencies, videographers and PR agencies to ensure projects are managed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Effective management and implementation of corporate branding guidelines
  • Ensuring key corporate messages are reflected in all briefings
  • Developing, creating, implementing and delivering our new Social Media strategy
  • Supporting the Head of HR in the design/drafting of internal comms and monthly ‘Sway’ updates from the CEO
  • Supporting the Executive Assistant with monthly values comms, informed by internal departments
  • Launching our new intranet alongside the Head of IT and CFO, reviewing content and uploading as
  • appropriate
  • Preparing and producing internal and external reports alongside Senior Management
  • Managing ad-hoc communication projects
  • Maintaining a culture of best practice by attending internal and external training courses
  • Supporting the Head of HR and SMT to deliver our sustainability policy and push equality, diversity and
  • inclusion goals.

This is your chance to bring together and showcase an established business – in our open environment, you’re not just delivering: your ideas count, and you’ll own our internal and external comms as well as shape our social media and intranet when it launches. Your direct relationship with Senior Management will ensure a smooth, representative and cohesive comms process. In return for your enthusiasm and competence in communications, we’ll recognise and reward your efforts, ensuring your growth at every step.

Proactive, professional and confident, you’re a keen communicator who is likely to have had some experience in, and responsibility for, comms elsewhere. If you have knowledge of or experience in Content Management Systems (CMS) and Adobe programmes including InDesign, After Effects/Premiere Pro, this will help communicate our messaging clearly and effectively. An eagerness to learn is much appreciated, and experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Sway is advantageous. You need to be passionate about and engaged with Social Media - working knowledge of managing channels and Yammer is beneficial.
